ZED CHARLES
Guitarist Zed Charles has been making waves along Australia’s East Coast. Heavily influenced by traditional blues, he mixes up his own style with a modern, rock n roll twist. Touring with his band The Royal Artillery and Sippy Downs as well as working with 8ball Aitken and Chev Wilson. Zed Charles has also shared the stage with the likes of Mungo Jerry, Dallas Frasca, Claude Hay, Hat Fitz and Cara, Mike Elrington and Jesse Redwing.
Moving into a new era in his career, Zed is plying his trade under his own name and working on the eve of a debut album release, highlighting the different sides of his talent.
A strong vocalist with an electric presence on lead guitar (and handy on a slide) whether with his band or solo with his stomp-box, Zed Charles brings an engaging energy to the stage.

THE ROYAL ARTILLERY
The Royal Artillery is a heavy blues rock band from Brisbane, Australia.
Formed in Brisbane 2005 and named after the North Melbourne Hotel which became home to prolific live music venue ‘The Arthouse’ which closed its doors in 2006.
A hard-hitting affair of stroppy riffs and exuberant lead guitar – intense and psychedelic. Fronted by founder Zed Charles Poschelk, the creative force behind the band who leads ON guitar and vocal, with Storm Mahan (Chassm, Mammoth) on drums since 2019.
Channelling the sounds of 60’s & 70’s blues explosion and proto-metal and delivered with modern rock sensibility and metal elements, the band has stayed true to it’s sound and present in the domestic festival and touring circuits.
As heard on Triple J, Triple M and regional and community radio the Royal Artillery came in at #74 on the Triple Z hottest hundred 2014.
